Monticello, MN – The City of Monticello Industrial and Economic Development Committee (IEDC) hosted its annual Manufacturers Appreciation Breakfast on Friday, October 10, at 7 a.m. in the Monticello Community Center. This event recognizes local manufacturers’ impact and contributions to the community. The City of Monticello Economic Development Authority, Xcel Energy, North Star Bank, Sherburne State Bank, and the National Bank of commerce sponsored the event.

The City Council held a regular meeting on Monday, June 9. Here are the highlights:
- Construction Update: Phase 2 of the School Boulevard Improvement Project continues, with Phase 3 expected to begin in 3-4 weeks.
- Karlsburger Expansion: The City endorsed Karlsburger Foods’ state grant application to support an expansion that will add jobs and grow the local economy.
- Downtown Parking Update: Council approved amendments to Downtown parking standards, improving flexibility for businesses and supporting the walkability of Downtown.
