Public Hearings

Public hearings offer the public the opportunity to learn about a specific subject manner in their city and attend a public meeting to address concerns or questions. Notices are removed after the hearing. Additional materials may be available on the board or commission webpage and agenda center.

Read our Guide to Public Hearings (PDF). Written and verbal comments made during a public hearing become part of the public record. Share only information you are comfortable making public. However, your name and address are typically requested.

4/6-30/2026 Wright County Board of Appeals NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, That the 6th - 30th day of April, 2026 from 8am to 4:30pm has been fixed as the date for the OPEN BOOK Meeting for the CITY OF MONTICELLO for said year. This meeting will be held at the Wright County Government Center at the Assessor's Office, 3650 Braddock Ave NE, Ste# 1700, Buffalo, MN 55313.
Pursuant to the provisions of Minnesota Statutes Section 27 4.03, you are required to give notice 
of said meeting by publication and posting, no later than ten days prior to the date of said meeting.

4/6-30/2026 Wright County Board of Appeals NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, That the Local Board of Appeal and Equalization for CITY OF MONTICELLO of Wright County, Minnesota, has been changed to an OPEN BOOK Meeting at the Wright County Government Center, Assessor's Office, 3650 Braddock Ave NE, Ste #1700, Buffalo, MN 55313, from 8am to 4:30pm, Mon - Fri, the 6th - 30th day of April, 2026. The purpose of this meeting is to determine whether property in the jurisdiction has been properly valued and classified by the assessor.
If you believe the value or classification of your property is incorrect, please contact your assessor's office to discuss your concerns or attend the OPEN BOOK Meeting. If you disagree with the valuation or classification after discussing it with your assessor, you may appear before the County Board of Appeal and Equalization by appointment 763-682-7367. The board will review your assessments and may make corrections as needed.
The County Board of Appeal and Equalization will be held on June 15, 2026, from 4pm to 7pm. You must sign up to appeal by June 8, 2026.
